YogaTrue Nature Yoga:
Unearth Your Full Potential

I have been practicing yoga since 1998 and teaching since 2001. Due to my 30-year experience as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, my yoga classes emphasize physical alignment in the poses along with mindfulness and the flow of the breath to balance body, mind & spirit. I teach both beginner and intermediate classes, (which combine my training in Iyengar and Vinyasa-flow styles),  restorative yoga for those needing rejuvenation or help with insomnia, and aquatic yoga. Additionally, I can design a personal program for your home practice to help increase flexibility and strength in your weaker areas, improve posture and balance, or adapt poses for physical challenges or injuries. I came to yoga because all my years as a “fitness warrior” caught up with me: Decreased flexibility, stiff joints, and overuse injuries were an unplanned side effect of the strong muscles and cardiovascular system I had developed. I found the flexibility I was seeking from yoga – and so much more. I can’t imagine what my body – or my life – would be without my yoga practice. The insight and wisdom we gain on our mats can carry us off the mat and into our life if we allow it, by maintaining awareness in our practice of yoga and of life. If you wish to cultivate a deeper sense of your life, self-acceptance, patience, and peace of mind, (all the “side effects” of yoga), contact me for guidance getting started on your journey.

Mindfulness Tip:
Add a Serenity Break

Choose a daily time to meditate: Set a timer for 10 to 20 minutes. Sit upright with good posture in a comfortable position on the floor (or in a chair with your feet flat), hands relaxed, palms turned upward on your thighs. Close your eyes and focus on your breathing (the in and the out) and count each breath cycle.

After three cycles, go back to number one, and begin counting again. Acknowledge any thoughts that arise (and they will), and then refocus on your breath. Performing a de-stressing ritual at the same time each day will help your body and mind unwind more easily as they adapt to the new pattern.

You have been a blessing & a constant source of joy & inspiration to me. I love your genuine personality!
